El Torin liegt ruhig und idyllisch in den Bergen - mit tollem Pool und Meerblick. Die Straße zum Haus ist zwar ziemlich steil, aber man gewöhnt sich daran. Und für die Ängstlichen gibt es auch noch eine flachere Strecke ;-) In dem Haus hat es uns an nichts gefehlt und auch die netten Vermieter standen stets mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Muchas gracias!!

waltTisselt tisselt lovely cottage in andalusia Left on Sep 6, 2012 for a stay in Aug 2012 had a lovely stay at this hideaway retreat near Nerja, about 30 minute drive from malaga airport. Although the house has 2 bedrooms we found it too small should we have had 4 people in our party. For the two of us it was excellent. Beautiful quiet location on a hillslope near national park with lots of walkingtrails, Nerja nearby is conveniend for shopping and a trip to the beach. The swimmingpool looked bigger in the photo on the site but was still large enough for cooling off. Bit steep to get to the house by car from firgiliana, but great fun to drive on this small up and down road across the riverbed. we gave the owner some pointers as what to do to make a stay more comfortable,....3 weeks later he'd already had changed some things for the better. good and very friendly services by the owners. truly recommended !!!!!

My husband booked this holiday for my 40th birthday, he wanted a peaceful retreat, away from a built up resort, somewhere special, full of character and with wonderful views, El Torin was all of this and more. From the moment we arrived we knew we had discovered a very special place and two very special people, our hosts, Javier and Rosario. We were made to feel so welcome. Der Standard ist zwar einfach jedoch lassen sich die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit nicht durch moderne Einbauküche und Fernseher ersetzen. Wir verbringen dort in der Nachsaison mit zwei Kindern (5 und 7) eine sehr entspannte und aktive Zeit. Das alte Haus ist nicht groß aber sehr liebevoll mit andalusischen Stilelementen eingerichtet und befindet sich neben nur einem weiteren Haus in einem Olivenhain, der in den direkt angrenzenden Naturpark übergeht und bietet Blick auf das Mittelmeer bei Nerja. Man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Auto, es sind ca. 5 min. ins weisse Dorf Frigiliana und 10 min. zum Strand nach Nerja. Wandern kann man direkt ab dem Haus sowohl im Naturpark als auch im Rio Higerion, dessen Flussbett mit Schlucht direkt unterhalb des Hauses liegt. Die Zufahrt ist nichts für schwache Nerven, es geht ganz ordentlich bergab und wieder bergan, am dritten Tag merkt man es jedoch kaum noch.

Jeremy B Peaceful villa in the hills Left on Jan 15, 2014 for a stay in May 2013 We were looking for a quiet corner just outside the beautiful town of Nerja with easy access to the hills and road system to Granada - that's exactly what we found with El Torin. The villa is immaculate, with everything we needed (albeit the approach drive isn't for the nervous driver). The Spanish countryside is yards away (the kids found pet lizards to feed every day, Ibex wandered around 10m from the villa too!) and the walk into the hills is stunning. Andrew L Tenbury Wells, United Kingdom Absolutely fabulous Left on May 28, 2014 for a stay in May 2014 I can't put into words how good this holiday was. After a year of stress, this wonderful place (El Torin), was just what we needed. It was clean, comfortable, picturesque, peaceful and a lot of thought had gone in to this property to make it feel like home. The views from every angle were simply magical, with the property situated on one side of a valley surrounded by olive and other sun soaked colourful trees and shrubs, where you could see the mountains , the valley and the sea. An added bonus, was knowing that both Javier and Rosario were on hand, for any guidance or help. I had major toothache at the beginning of the holiday and Javier kindly advised, that if I required a dentist, he would immediately book the appointment with a well respected Dentist, fortunately the pain subsided, but this is a good example of being well looked after, from people who 'go that extra mile'. The area is just magnificent, because you have stunning walks around and near the property, the relaxing quaint white washed and flower covered Frigiliana (about 5 minutes drive) and the slightly busier, but just as attractive Nerja, with all the shops and wonderful beaches. Some fantastic restaurants with varying price ranges by the way, in the above mentioned areas. To conclude, I would not hesitate to recommend this place to stay and the only negative, was leaving! PardonLondon PardonLondon Rustic, traditional villa with great views Left on Oct 2, 2014 for a stay in Sep 2014 We stayed at El Torin in late September and had a lovely relaxing holiday. The villa is located in between Nerja and Frigilliana up on the hillside. The road to the villa it is fairly steep and narrow but once you drive on it a couple of times and get used to it, it's no problem. My wife and I had a great time there, actually doing nothing but relaxing by the pool, which isn't like us at all. We shopped at the supermarket in Nerja to stock up on food & drink and everything else you need is in the villa. Javier and Rosario are very helpful and on call if you need anything. The owner Javier and his wife made us very welcome - even including enough food and wine to last us the first day / night. The villa was clean and tidy and had everything we needed (TV, wifi, etc). The road to get to the villa is not ideal but then the villa is positioned in a great location on the edge of the national forest so was worth the approach drive. All in all a very nice villa!

Before arriving, Rosario & Javier were very helpful, kept in contact and answered all our questions and were happy to help us organise car hire. They were happy to accommodate our odd arrival and departure dates, ie. not just Saturday to Saturday which was very helpful. The villa was better then we could have hoped for, even better than the photos had promised. Wonderful views, secluded, but not cut off, the smells of pine and olive trees, the perfect mix of Spanish rustic charm and all mod cons. Small things like condiments,washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets were all there. The water pressure was great meaning the shower was fab. The bed was a little hard as tends to be the case in the warmer European countries, but we just folding the extra quilts for comfort. Having the covered terrace gave you the option to bask in the sunshine or dose/read in the shade in the hammock, an unexpected bonus. Didn't really investigate Nerja but really enjoyed Frigiliana and had some lovely lunches there. Rosario was happy to give recommendations which were all excellent. He was there at the end of the phone if anything was needed. We were due to fly out at 1700hrs and asked what time we would need to vacate the villa. Rosario immediately came back and said that as they did not have guests due to arrive, we could leave when we wanted and they would clean and prepare the villa the follow day. This was really appreciated and made our final day a pleasure without the need to rush. Apart from that we pretty much relaxed by the pool, the villa was just too nice to leave. So if are looking for a quiet, out of the way relaxing holiday this is perfect. We do not go back to the same places but this just might be the exception. Y a sido fantastico esperamos poder volver pronto. No nos ha echo falta de nada puesto que en la casa hay todo lo necesario. Todas las mañanas desayunaba en la terraza cerca del estanque. Un lugar super tranquilo. No escuchas ningun ruido salvo el propio de la naturaleza. Los propietarios se han portado genial con nosotros, incluso nos consiguieron las entradas para la ruta del caminito del rey y fuimos a hacerla todos juntos!! Esto es todo espero que este comentario le sirva a la gente. Desde luego mi pareja y yo os lo recomendamos. Nosotros tenemos claro que repetiremos todas las veces que podamos. Das Haus ist landestypisch aber nicht kitschig eingerichtet. Direkt vom Haus aus kann man frei in der Natur wandern. Von Nerja sind es 10-Autominuten, nach Frigiliana 5 Autominuten oder ca. 30 Minuten zu Fuss. Die Straßen sind schmal und nach Frigiliana sehr steil. Von der Terasse hat man einen freien Blick zum Meer. Abkühlung findet man direkt im herrlichen Salzwasser-Pool. Wer seinen Urlaub gern individuell gestallten möchte, aber auch mal Abends um die Ecke ins Restaurant möchte oder am Tage in einem Ort bummelt ist hier genau richtig. The accommodation is 1st class with all requirements catered for including satellite TV and WIFI. The bedrooms consist of 1 double and 2 singles with comfortable beds and plenty linen. The terrace and pool area are rewarded with sunshine till will after 8pm and the views from the terrace, down to Nerja and the sea are fantastic. Do not be put off by the access road as once negotiated, it becomes easy and well worth it for the rewards at the end. The owners, Rosario and Javier, are lovely people, who go out of their way to make sure everything is catered for during your visit. Lekkere rustige plek, veel privacy, aardige en behulpzame eigenaren. Uitrusting van huis en terras zeer compleet. Zwembad was wel aan de frisse kant voor de tijd van het jaar (eind april, begin mei) en het tweepersoons bed was kort en smal voor twee volwassenen. De omgeving is heerlijk om te wandelen. Auch Nerja ist sehr gut erreichbar,dort bekommt man alles was man braucht. Wir kamen erst spät Abends an und hatten keine Gelegenheit noch etwas einzukaufen. Danke, lieber Javier für die Leckereien, die Du uns für den ersten Hunger und Durst sowie für das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen bereitgestellt hast. Der Pool direkt auf der gemütlichen Terrasse mit traumhaftem Ausblick hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Alles ist sauber und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Wir planen wiederzukommen. Christian O Havre de paix et de tranquillité au milieu des oliviers avec une vue splendide sur la mer et les montagnes. Left on Feb 21, 2018 for a stay in Jan 2018 C'est le troisième hiver que nous séjournons à El Torin et nous en sommes tombés amoureux ! La maison de style andalou est superbe, confortable et très bien équipée. Elle est magnifiquement située dans les oliviers et les avocatiers à deux pas du parc national. Il règne un calme absolu et de la terrasse nous profitons d'une vue magnifique sur les montagnes et la mer. Nous sommes accueillis chaleureusement par Xavier et Rosario, nos hôtes, qui sont très sympathiques et toujours disponibles pour rendre notre séjour idéal. De plus, ils accueillent notre chien qui se plaît beaucoup dans ce lieu. Comme chaque année nous nous réjouissons de retrouver non seulement cet endroit mais surtout Rosario et Xavier. There is all comfort for 2-4 persons inhouse, several places to sit and eat outside on the big terrace, a tiny pool and barbecue. You are private to the neighborhood, but the view is beautiful. Arriving on Sunday our owners provided us something to eat and drink. So nice. We can recommend it to evryone and we´ll visit again. Perfect location for a relaxing Left on Apr 4, 2018 for a stay in Aug 2017 El Torin is a lovely rustic villa surrounded by olive trees on a steep hillside near the beautiful village of Frigiliana. The setting is tranquil and secluded, overlooking mango and avocado groves with views across the valley and down to the sea. There's a small pool which is ideal for young children. It is very hard to drag yourself away from El Torin. If you manage to do so, it's a short drive to Frigiliana or to Nerja and its beaches. Javier and Rosario are the most welcoming and responsive of owners without being at all intrusive. We've now returned several times and have noticed small improvements to the property each time we've visited. We've always had a lovely holiday here and would highly recommend it. THE REAL RURAL SPAIN Left on May 8, 2018 for a stay in Apr 2018 Return visit from last year to this excellent 2 bedroom Casita in the natural park close to the beautiful village of Frigiliana. Great location with excellent views and sunny aspect. Interesting walk up the dry river bed to the village and in close proximity of Nerja. The accommodation is well laid out with a large double bed in the main room and 2 singles in the other with ample cupboard space. Well equipped kitchen and cosy living space with log fire, satellite TV and good internet. Lovely sunny terrace with a small pool and enhanced by lovely flower pots and garden. Benefits from a traditional Spanish barbecue and a fish pond with fountain. Plenty of sun beds and table and chairs for 'al fresco' dining. The owners, Rosario and Javier are fantastic and attentive hosts who will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your visit, but are not intrusive and respect your privacy. This is a haven for hill walkers as you are right beside the start of many fantastic walks. Highly recommended and we will return. Die Anreise (Straße) ist anspruchsvoll, aber man gewöhnt sich an die steile Auffahrt. Hervorheben möchte ich die Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit der Vermieter. Wir könnten sie jederzeit erreichen und sämtliche Anfragen oder Wünsche wurden umgehend erfüllt. Die Krönung war der zur Anreise gefüllte Kühlschrank! laurhernandez Gers, France Séjour exceptionnel Left on Aug 11, 2018 for a stay in May 2018 Avec beaucoup de retard mais également grande envie de remercier Javier pour ce séjour exceptionnel : Nous avons passé 5 jours dans la villa El Torin avec nos deux petites filles de 2 et 4 ans. Tout y était parfait. La situation géographique, tout d'abord, proche de Nerja et Frigilana, mais aussi non loin des villages blancs de la Sierra Nevada que nous avons visité lors d'une journée. Proche de l'entrée d'une réserve naturelle, accessible à pied au départ de la villa, occasion d'une très belle balade avec nos filles. Le confort de la maison, ensuite, très bien équipée mais aussi construite et décorée avec des matériaux typiques andalous qui nous ont enchanté. L'accueil de Javier enfin qui s'est montré très disponible et prévenant durant notre séjour. La meilleure preuve de tout cela reste le commentaire d'Andréa, 4 ans, qui a passé des "super vavances " et qui réclame encore souvent de repartir à "la petite maison d'Espagne " !!! La vue est magnifique avec une superbe randonnée à faire le long du Rio chillar juste à côté. Enfin Javier le propriétaire est aux petits soins pour que nous ne manquions de rien.

We made good use of the barbecue and the villa was appointed with everything we needed. We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back soon! Prachtige plek met mooi uitzicht vanaf het terras. Lekker zwembad en sfeervol ingericht huis. Mooie omgeving om te wandelen en verschillende mooie baaitjes met heerlijke stranden. Diverse Wanderwege in unmittelbarer Nähe, die nächste Gaststätte zu Fuß etwa 15 Minuten, Frigiliana 30 Min. Ordentliches Wi-Fi und ein sehr aufmerksamer Gastgeber. Небольшой уединенный домик, находящийся на крутом склоне горы с прекрасными видами, прекрасно подходит для спокойного ленивого отдыха. Хозяева Хавьер и Розарио были очень дружелюбны и гостеприимны: по нашему приезду нас ждал холодильник заполненный едой, которой хватило бы минимум на ближайший день и при первой же возможности делали все,чтобы наше пребывание здесь было максимально комфортным. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien, de tuin is prachtig, mooi uitzicht en een heerlijk zwembad! Ideaal gelegen aan de rand van het natuurpark, veel rust en mogelijkheid voor mooie wandelingen! Frigiliana is makkelijk te bereiken, zowel met auto (5 min) als lopend (half uurtje) en ook dichtbij Nerja en het strand. De eigenaar is zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam. CasaBrido Mid Calder, United Kingdom RETURN VISIT Left on Oct 30, 2019 for a stay in Oct 2019 My wife and I decided to return to El Torin due to its fantastic location in the mountains but only 10 minutes from both Frigiliana and Nerja. The views and sunsets from the terrace are fantastic. Since our last visit the shower room had been refurbished to a very high standard and the terrace and pool area had been fitted with artificial grass which was very pleasant. With a double and twin bedrooms the casita sleeps 4 adults very comfortabley and the kitchen has all things required for cooking and dining. There is an outside barbecue area and a large table and 4 chairs in the enclosed terrace which is great for eating and drinking outside. First class satellite TV and excellent WiFi are offered in the lounge area which is also equipped with a log fire for cooler nights ( we did not require this). This property is a walkers paradise due to its location, turn right from the property and you immediately access the paths and trails of the Almachares mountains. The owners Rosario and Javier are there to ensure you have a great time and are always available at the end of a phone call. They pop in to change linen or pool maintainance but always advice in advance their arrival. They are great fun and have great ideas and knowledge of Andalusia. Thanks again you beautiful people. We could not recommend the villa enough. The villa itself is only 10 minutes from the nearest town and coast but when you are at the villa, sitting overlooking the mountains, you feel like you could be miles from civilisation - it's very very peaceful. Javier and Rosario are both incredibly kind, incredibly helpful and made us feel very welcome. The villa was perfect with our 2 year old. This holiday had been moved several times due to the pandemic and the hosts couldn't have been more accommodating. We had a great time at this villa and it really lived up to our expectations. Estancia del 9 al 17 de septiembre de 2022. Lugar mágico con impresionantes vistas (mar, montaña) Camino sinuoso y empinado pero la tranquilidad no tiene precio. La villa era hermosa, súper equipada y estaba impecablemente limpia. No faltaba nada. La ropa de cama es súper cómoda. Un plus enorme: la terraza donde pasamos mucho tiempo, descansando, leyendo y comiendo. La piscina también nos permitió relajarnos lo más posible. Gracias a Javier por su bienvenida y por los intercambios particularmente agradables (correo electrónico, SMS). Gracias por las amables atenciones que nos esperaron a nuestra llegada. Rosario y Javier supisteis crear un auténtico remanso de paz donde poder desconectar y evadirnos durante una semana sin pensar en los problemas de un mundo especialmente complicado en los últimos años (pandemia, guerra en Ucrania. ).
